10060 Tracker connect error ???

Ok so i have a strange problem on my bitcomet … I am using a privatetracker from last 3-4years and never had this issue … nor my username is blocked or something on that site … Whenever i try to download any torrent from that particular site i get a 10060 error and i don’t get any speed … other private tracker and free torrents are working fine without any issue … Talked with that particular site admin and he says nor my id is blocked and no1 expect me has such a issue …i have tried other torrent and it’s not working either … i have tried the same user id to download from my friends house and it was working without any issue … So something from my pc is blocking it to download … what can it be ? Need help

I have not changed any settings on my network or my pc from last 6-7months and i am using a Netgear router

I’ve read your message several times and find it very confusing. My first question is…

What does the word “nor” mean to you?

Maybe if I understood this, your message might begin to make sense.

I think he used it like an adverb.

Just like in the phrase: “Neither shout nor feebly speak!”. AFAIK it is used instead of “neither” whenever the former has already been used in the same phrase and it goes like: “neither … nor …”.

Not sure enough if it goes with “never” as well but it might be.

Cassie should know better, so I’ll defer to her.

But even so, the whole shebang still doesn’t seem any clearer to me.

Did that site ban Bitcomet client recently?

Does the tracker URL reply to a simple ping ?

I suspect it may be a spelling error for “now” or “not”.

Forget about his grammatical skills (BTW, Wiz, you’re absolutely correct in the case of “neither… nor” usage, and, yes, it can sometimes be used with “never… nor…”)

How about

“either my username is blocked or [it has to be] something [else] on that site”…

“talked with that particular site admin, and he says my ID [is not] blocked and nobody except me has such an issue”…

Is it possible that his friend’s ISP is different than his own (i.e. his friend’s doesn’t throttle P2P traffic, whereas his does (IP is from India)? Just a thought…

Does your friend have the same ISP as yourself?

With all the other incorrect words used it lead me to believe he ran the post through a spell checker and got “nor” when it should have been “now”. This would explain “expect” instead of “except” and the sentence “nor my username is blocked…” would make more sense if it was “now my username was blocked…”

However, if he really cared about fixing the problem he would have replied by now.
