Just search for “Adobe”. You’ll find instructions about how to get rid of these extensions in CB, so just do the reverse – copy them TO the CB extensions directory from the FF extensions directory.

Thank You very much for the info ! I figured it out ! I think it downloaded flash into a folder and i had to go to that location and install ! But it works now ! Thanks !

Scorpion42,

Welcome to the forum.

Seems like you could with your trouble. kluelos gave you the easy and short solution. Now, I’m gonna give you the long and bored solution. Anyway, this info below may be somehow useful for you after all.

As Adobe Flash Player as Java are PLUGINS, and not add-ons. Plugins allow your web browser to play some specific media content (some kind of audiofiles, videofiles, animations, interactive elements, etc), while add-ons add features to do several, different things, related or not with media content. If you don’t have any plugin installed you won’t be able to play media content and/or load some websites fully. Said this, it’s time to resolve your issue.

If you’re talking about the Adobe Download Manager (the extension that is installed into Firefox —without any permission from the user— when installing the Adobe Flash Player, I have the solution for you. Just keep reading.

The best way to make Adobe Flash Player and Java to work seamlessly is completely uninstall them first. :stuck_out_tongue: By uninstalling Adobe Flash Player will also get rid of annoying Adobe Download Manager. So, yeah, first, uninstall both of them and then reboot your computer.

**Now, **download and install CCleaner 3.01. CCleaner is a free utility program, that deletes any kind of temporary files, created by Windows or by any other piece of software. It also cleans the Windows registry out of old, useless entries. CCleaner is really amazing and needed. Once you begin using it, you will fall in love with it. Why is it needed to install CCleaner? Because it’s the best program you need to delete temporary files created by Adobe Flash Player and Java.

Before cleaning up your computer from temporary files, first take a moment to see what elements you wanna to erase (i.e., check Windows and Applications tabs and check/uncheck the boxes you want). Take a look at Firefox/Mozilla under the Applications tab, and be sure whether you wanna delete cookies, Internet history, saved form information, etc. This is a general Mozilla Firefox related web browsers setup. In other words, it means that if you compact databases (recommended) you are making this happens not only with Mozilla Firefox (in case you have it installed), but with any Firefox-based web browser, like CometBird. One more thing: before cleaning temporary files, it is very important you’re not running any other program. I mean, when running CCleaner, close any other program. This way, you will be sure you’re deleting most (if not all) temporary files from every program installed in your PC.

Once you analyzed and ran Cleaner, go to Registry. Do the scan, fix all selected items and then reboot your computer again.

Now, it is time to install Adobe Flash Player and Java again. Click here to download the latest stable Adobe Flash Player version (10.1.102.64) for any web browser but Internet Explorer. Whether you use Internet Explorer or not, it’s recommended you install and update the Adobe Flash Player 10.1.102.64 ActiveX anyway (for security reasons). If you’re an adventurous dude, you can install the Adobe Flash Player 10.2.163.23 beta 2 plugin for non-IE web browsers and the Adobe Flash Player 10.2.163.23 beta 2 ActiveX for Internet Explorer. First, download the AFP plugin (and the AFP ActiveX if you want to). When downloading finishes, close all of your web browsers and start with the installation. Don’t worry about god-damned Adobe Download Manager: This Adobe Flash Player installer is “clean”; it only installs the plugin itself, no add-on at all.

Finally, download the Java Development Toolkit 6.0.220.2 and Java Platform SE 6 U22 (it’s valid for all 32 bits web browsers). Again, when downloading finishes, close all of your web browsers and start with the installation.

This should solve all your AFP and Java plugins issues for good. Try accessing your Facebook account now and tell us if it works properly.

Good luck!
