That is one funny request. I’ll tell you this now, if you can use BC on a private tracker just be grateful. Because most private trackers have BC at the top of the client ban list.
If you want features like that then use Azureus with the stuffer plug-in. Because BC currently does not have any type of auto ban function.

Here is a RegEx setting I use in Azureus:
BitComet\s0.[0-5][\d]
This blocks all BitComet versions from 0.00 to 0.59, I haven’t made one to ban 0.60-0.62 yet.

IP range baning is not as affective as you may think with a decent rooter you can choose whatever IP you want, I cam make it look like i am from USA, Canada,UK,Russia,… ANY country.

I wld like to add my vote for the inclusion of this feature, something like the Azureus stuffer plugin, whereby you can create a RegEx to block a client by name and version number.
As the facility already exists to manually ban a client for up to 24 hours, it would not appear the developers have an objection to this in principal.
or ban a IP range, This would be good for private trackers.
You can already do this fine with Peerguardian.
