Everytime i use Bit Comet Version .70 i keep getting NOT RESPONDING with an hour glass & eventually it goes away & comes back again.
Anyone else have this problem & is there a fix or another Version that is better ?
You’re about 63 versions out of date, the current version is .1.33. Version .70 was a very stable version and several years ago many users considered it one of the best, so if it doesn’t work for you then I’d suspect something on your PC is at fault, but there have been many advancements since those days so you really should update.
Ironically though, there have been no significant or important changes to the basic bittorrent protocol since then, so it is a fully functional client. And it is extremely stable.
Very true, but in a swarm with a good number of bitcomet peers, you can get much better performance with a newer version due to its use of multi protocol and cross protocol downloading. LTseed alone can make a huge difference on some tasks, but when restricted to only bittorrent peers, version .70 will perform equal to any newer version or competing clients when properly configured.
