We have had a new router, the above and now the speed has disappeared for downloads
I have set up port forwarding for the belkin router. checked out loads of posts but nothing seems to work…
Can anyone help me with this as i am pulling my hair out.

system: win xp home sp2 all updates
When you start a torrent are you able to connect to the trackers? (look in the Trackers tab, any errors?)
after it connects to the tracker are you able to connect to Peers? (look in the Peers tab)
after the Peers start connecting do any of them become “Remote” connections?
Have you gone through our Settings Guide? (link in my sig)
I have followed your settings exactly as shown. I still have speed of 1kbs!!!
I have attached a screen shot of whats happening to see if you can shed any light on the problem.
some of the settings are:
Tracker response = ok
connected seeds = 10
connected peers = 10
connecting peers = 0
down rate = ikbs

Dont follow my settings exactly you need to adjust some things for your connection
That torrent has very few seeds and leechers which means it is never gonna be that fast and 1KB/s may indeed be all that you can get from it.
So you are getting “Remote” peers right?
Try downloading a torrent with more people connected to it to see how fast you really can go.

I have used the torrent supplied but it seems to be still very slow. its around 15kbs.
Before using this belkin router speeds seemed to much faster.
I have attached a screen shot again to see what you think.

Look in the Peers tab
are you getting any Remote peers?
or are they all Local?
If they are all Local that means your portforwarding didnt work and that will really slow you down

Ok, good you’re portforwarded properly.
Lets try some things:
can you please lower the number of peers you connect to, try 50 for max connections per task
Also Uncheck the DHT Network.]
(maybe the belkin gets bogged down if there are too many connections)
(while you’re at it make sure that you have the latest firmware for that router)
Now shut down bitcomet and then start it up again.
Dont expect to get awesome speeds with that torrent you posted, it isnt very well seeded.

I think that after SIXTEEN YEARS they have either fixed the problem or got another router.
