Bitcomet 0.70

Hello,

Ive been using Bitcomet for a while, I am currently using Bitcomet 0.63, recently i was prompted to download Bitcomet 0.70, so i did, however, whenever i started any torrent, a Norton anti-virus box wold come up every 5 seconds. Asking me whether I should allow Bitcomets Outgoing-Incoming connections, or block them, but whenever i click allow, the box comes back in a few seconds, I have done everything i could to allow bitcomet 0.70 to run, eg, opened ports, added to firewall exception list, everything. It is normal for te norton box to come up, but it should only come up once, when i first install the program. bitcomet 0.70 is the first ever program i have had this problem with, so i have gone back to bitcomet 0.63.

Does anyone know how and why this problem occured and how it can be fixed?

I have seen this problem with norton several times with other bit torrent clients, but not with bit comet.

I personally would stop using Norton (it uses way too much system resouces), but I’m sure this issue has been addressed in their faqs or support forum.

If none of our members, or you yourself are not able to find a solution for this, I would be glad to have a look (as time permits).

This is Norton being crappy. Check our faq on how to deal with this. You should consider dumping Norton. I kicked it off my computer back in '01 for McAfee and I haven’t looked back.
