When I startup BitComet 0.73, sometimes it cannot auto resume the tasks, even though I have enable to option of “Auto-resume tasks on BitComet startup” in the Preferences - Appearance menu.
The same problem occurs in all versions after 0.73
It appears when you shut down the system without closing BC first.
When you close BC first and then shut down the system, “Auto-resume task at program starup” works fine.
Oh, that’s great!
So You think it’s normal to manually close about 10 programs to make them do what they promise (if they all would behavior BC-style!) before restarting Windows instead of just restarting Windows!
Why uTorrent doesn’t need this?
Just checked this method with BC-0.82 on Win-XP-SP2 - yes, it works, but this is still far from perfect.
BitComet version 0.71 and all subsequent clients are a complete rewrite of the client, so there are bugs. It is advisbale to people having trouble with the newer client to download version 0.70.
