Bitcomet 1.3

Bitcomet 1.29 has been here for a long time and new browsers are coming every month

i have firefox 8 and bitcomet is not compatible what should i do

Personally I’d get an older version of firefox. They have become laughable at the rate they have been throwing new versions out this year. It took several years to get from 1.0 to 3.0, and then this year alone, we went from 3, to 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, and I hear 9 is not far off.

There is nothing wrong with updating a product, but these major version changes force all developers of extensions to develop new ones.

I’d like to see bitComet spend this time on adding Google Chrome support, but since we have the cometbird project running concurrent with firefox, we need to develop working extensions for new versions, and FF7 is now supported in the latest beta version of bitcomet, but keep in mind that no one is paying the development team to do this, so you’re going to have to wait until they have time to do the work.

Or you could always develop your own extension, it is open source.

If one more person asks when a FF extension will be released, I’m gonna scream lol

Maybe you should put up an announcement about this.

So I Downloaded bitcomet 1.30 x86 for win7

and i checked mozilla extension on setup and downgraded my firefox 8.0 to 7.0.1

and then i got to bitcomet tools options integration and i find mozilla extension not installed i click on install and then it says

restart bitcomet as non-elevated

although when i click download with bitcomet in firefox it works nicely but doesn’t show that bitcomet extension is installed only shows bitcomet video downloader

what to do?
