Bitcomet freezes all the time on Windows 7

Hi all.

I’ve now Windows 7 ultimate 32bit on my Asus-Notebook.

Everytime i try to download something with bitcomet (1.31) it freezes after 10 or 20 seconds and i can’t restart it anymore. I need to restart my Notebook to start bitcomet again.

I’ve closed the firewall and my antivirus programm. The problem is still there.

When i switch to Windows Vista (on the same Notebook) i can download with bitcomet without any problems with full speed.

I would be very pleased if anyone could help me to solve this issue

Have you used other versions of Bitcomet before, successfully, on that notebook?

I’ve used other versions on that notebook but on windows vista. It always worked fine. On Windows 7 i didn’t used other versions.

Oh and by the way i downloaded μTorrent and it crashes too after couple of seconds on my new windows 7…

That strongly points towards a software or even hardware issue with your computer.

Running MemTest, some diagnostic programs or perhaps reinstalling Windows are some things to consider.

BitComet certainly works with Windows 7, as many here can attest, so you should probably be looking at the windows error logs. THey’re much more confusing under Win7, alas, but as always, clean them out, try to reproduce the problem, then check them to see if there’s anything relevant in them.
