BitComet v1.30 has lot of bugs

Hi,

I have been using Bitcomet for a long time, I didnt have any problem.

But this version 1.30 is very buggy.

Problems :

  1. Frequent craches

  2. Minimize to tray is not working (Even though the option is selected in Preferences)

    When the Close button is pressed, it show ‘Do you want to exit BitComet?’

  3. Torrent list order is keep on changing without sorting.

I don’t have issues with sending BitComet to the tray, win7 32bit here too.

Exit BitComet and then go to %appdata%\BitComet and rename the BitComet.xml file. It will clear any custom settings(options, auto log-in, etc), by creating a new file. Report back with the results.

I see this reported quite often lately.

Plus I’ve encountered it in the beta version, too, as soon as I upgraded.

It happened randomly, so it wasn’t related to settings. The only way I could fix it, was to restart BitComet.

I think it’s one of the new bugs from the code rewrite.

@^, I reverted back to version 1.29.

So now cannot try that. It is working fine in 1.29.

I identified one more problem in v1.30

  1. Selective file download in torrent is not working. (If I select 2 out of 3 files, all 3 files are getting downloaded)

In Windows 7 64 bit , interface is very ugly,confirm bug When the Close button is pressed, i don’t have confirmation for exit and it will exit,even i have in option to minimize it.

Runnning Windows 7 64 bit. Have tried installing the 64 bit and 32 bit version of 1.30. Both have same issues of exiting when clicking close button even though option is set to minimize to system tray. Be so glad when y’all get this fixed. Extremely annoying.

This issue has already been forwarded to dev team last week. but my teammates were unable to reproduce it.

It only occurred once in their test, so they are still find the reason for this bug.
