The average per person has to be somewhere between 100-110% for bittorrent to work, but since some people stop early, either from ignorance, or lack of caring if anyone else can download it, we advise good peers to seed to a ratio of 200%.
Also consider the content, if it’s something you are grateful for getting, then seed it longer so others can enjoy it, and on the other hand, if it was something of very poor quality, then I’d probably consider stopping it sooner.
