Can not listen to port!!!

I need some help guys.

I can’t download anything because when i open BC it says: “Can not listen to port xxxxx”.

I’ve changed many times port and i tried while my firewall was closed.

Nothing happend. <_<

Could it be some kind of spyware who closes ports? :huh:

I can’t understand.

Ive been gettin the same problem after i formatted my comp.

I dont think its spyware…just some settings have to be made…

Im also getting “DHT not connected”

Can some 1 Please help me?? Ive been searchin the forums for 2 hrs now…

Both messages are because a firewall is blocking the listen port, the “can’t connect” because TCP is blocked, the “DHT not connected”, because UDP is blocked.

Open the listen port in your firewall, and set a rule that allows BitComet through permanently on that port.

If you have a router, it probably has a built-in firewall. If so, 1) that’s all the firewall you really need, so get rid of the software firewalls, and 2) you’ll have to forward a port through the router’s firewall. See portfoward.com for instructions.
