I’ve been using Bitcomet for over a year now, and all of a sudden I can’t download new task in any browser. Also, my download and upload speeds have greatly decreased from their usual values, connect to very few peers and even less seeds, if any.
This sounds like your internet connection has dramatically changed. Did it?
Well, I recently started dorm life, but the connection is fine (normal speed when I direct download or do anything else) and torrents were working up until 3 days ago.
Anyone?
If you are on a collage connection, many of them do not allow file sharing connections.
If this happened when you first started youing the schools internet connection, then there may be nothing you can do to resolve this.
Suspect
IT does sound like they’ve put new restrictions in place. If you can’t download torrents, then they’re likely blocking the filetype, at least via http downloads. You will probably find bittorrent transfers throttled or restricted as well. Requiring encryption may help with the last.
