I suggest that the chat option, in the options menu, should come enabled by default. We know that most people don’t have intimacy with dealing with the options menu, so, they end not using this useful tool. If anyone found bad, they could turn ir off.
Please do not type in all caps. On the internet its considered shouting.
That chat is also partially disabled at the moment.
To most users, they don’t use this function.So I think it’s better to make it disabled by default.

I agree that chat should be only enabled with users that want to chat.
Many people perfer to not chat with others they do not know.
Having children and grandchildren, I would not want them chatting with people I havn’t approved.

I can understand this to a degree. I would like the option to fully enable the chat as I did use and would like to know when peopel are chatting.
