Greetings fellow Torrentinos,

I’m a happy :rolleyes: BC user for some time. I’ve been reading the forums looking for ways to up my speeds, but I haven’t seen this issue addressed.

I don’t have internet access of my own. :unsure:

Cheese and Crackers! I know, but hey, I live in New Orleans and there are lots of places to go get your internet on, and I like to drink coffee anyway, so no complaints.

However, being on public Wi-Fi in a cafe seems to mean low download speed. I can’t mess with the router to give myself port forwarding and that sort of funky hackiness.

So, my question is this: Any ideas towards increasing D/L speeds on public Wi-Fi where I can’t hack the router? :blink:

Try UPnP, that might work if the router has it turned on. You have to have this turned on in XP as well.
