% completed question

I am wondering when I choose for example to download 1 file from 5 in the torrent it will show the size like this: 65MB(1.6GB) and it will show me that i am completed 75% of my download (65MB).

How it will show this % completed in the peers list? What will other peers see:

  • that I have 75% completed task (because this is my whole task 65MB) :rolleyes: or

  • I have 3% completed (becuse 75% of 65MB is 48MB which is 3% from the whole task 1.6GB) :wink:

the reasonable way is to show 3% bacause if it show 75% and there is a peer on 40% of 1.6GB it will not know that you have 75% of 65MB only and will wondering why they can’t download from you. But this is only guesses. I hope a developer of BC to see this and make the things clear for us. :smiley:
