Confused with what i did :(

Ok so i first got Bit comet and started using torents about a year ago and have been using alot over that time. Just recently i finally decided to upgrade to the new version of bit comet. The version i was using had to have been at least .69 or before.

Now i’m running 0.79 and everything seems to be downloading way way slower then it did with the older version. I’ve done nothing to change my internet connection/computer in anyway so i don’t understand why it would change so much. Before when i was downloading a file with alot of seeders and good health i could get 200kb+ now with the same type of file i get maybe 20kb/s any idea what has happened?

There could be several causes, but since you didn’t provide any information beyond the version number of BC you’re using, let’s go with that. The latest stable version is 0.70, which you should downgrade to and stay with until a later stable version is announced.

It seems to me that quite a few people are reporting ‘slow’ downloads on 0.79 (me included)

Maybe it’s an issue the developers should be looking at looking at.
