CPU Usage Problem

When i download some tasks with 2-3MB/s BC uses too much CPU(~40-50% BC and the rest is used by the system process)

I cant listen even music @_o

In some cases i dont have this problem when i download with 4-5MB/s+ i think with 0.59 i almost dont have this problem but sometimes still ocurs :unsure:

A64 3000+

1500MB ram

seagate 120GB

i use 256mb for the cache size

edit:

reinstalled all of my mobo drivers, created ramdrive to test if my hdd is too slow or something but the problem still occurs

Use Windows Task Manager to assign your player (or whatever) higher priority than BitComet has (or vice versa). This may cause BC to lose some speed, but you’ll be able to listen to Winamp & play Minesweeper simultaneously :slight_smile:

Well i set low prioarity to BC but this doesnt help.

I tried another torrent client with the ramdrive and i was able to dl with 8-9MB/s without serious cpu usage so the problem is somewhere else :confused:
