it is free to register except right now registration is closed and you need a code from a current member to register.
You’ll need an invite, yes. Sorry, I don’t have any. 
Just keep checking back often. Demonoid prunes its member list very frequently, so there are always new openings. If you’re persistent, you should be able to get in under a day.
The problem with invitations is that there’s often some implied responsibility to the inviter, for the invitee’s conduct. So it’s not too smart to hand out invitations to people you don’t know or don’t trust, or who are irresponsible.
