Hmm im at college and bit torrent isnt working anymore. I switched over to port 5255 and it worked for a little while but now it doesnt work. My firewalls are enabled to bypass bit torrent but for some reason nothing ever begins to dl anymore. It says the DHT is connected, but the dl never starts anymore. What are some other ports i can use or what could be causing these problems?
Ya… I agree… I also have same problem too.. I using my laptop to connect by using wireless connection that provided by college.. Also the same problem, it won’t start the download.. (All configuration had been done correctly on bitcomet 0.70 and firewall…)
But I able download items from http website … why .. so weird?

DHT has nothing to do with the download. That is only a method of find peers.
If you’re on a college lan then they have probably blocked BitTorrent downloads. Try using a proxy for tracker communication. Also, turn NAT Traversial to auto or always, the same goes for the encryption.
