I was watching incomplete download file (98%), i was still watching it while file finished download. I finished watching it at come back to it after few hours. I saw yellow warning triangle. Why even my file is downloaded completely i still have warning B.C file type. What should I do now? my programs are up to date.
Since you had the file open in another program when it finished downloading, bitcomet was unable to rename the file. You can stop the torrent and do a manual hash check, or you can simply rename the file yourself to change the extension.
Hey Admin, I request you to move it to the most common problems in Bitcomet.. It happens to me alot till I found the solution so It may help alot of people if you sticky(“pin” in this forum) it..
I’ve never come across this problem since I don’t use the option to have the file extension changed on incomplete files, and I also rarely use incomplete files, but we can discuss the possibility of adding this to the FAQs.
any thoughts on this? is it a common enough problem to be added to the faqs?

However I’m wondering if it’s not possible for BC to lock the file in such a manner that it will give it exclusive rights on doing whatever it pleases with it as long as it’s still downloading.
It only seems logical to be so, since it bears it’s extension.
It’s worth checking this up and adding it in a future version.
