DIVX video files

Hello world.

My problem is simple. I’m hoping the solution is too. I’ve downloaded a file that has the extension .DivX To view it, I then downloaded a Divx player, but it doesn’t seem to recongnise the file and asks me if it’s a valid video format. Do I need to convert the BitComet file before I play it, or am I doing something else wrong?

Any help would be appreciated.

Forget DivX player, you just need a codec. Get CCCP. It’s a great streamlined codec pack. You can use it with any player that uses external codecs. It works great WMP and it also has Media Player Classic if you want to try that. Click the image in my sig for the download site.
