downldong file from internet to my network ex hdd

hello

i have been downloading avi files dirctly to the external hdd using usb wifi for the last eight days. a total of 30 gb was downloaded i did not have any problem. but for the last three days, the downloading process stop and two messages come out from bitcomet saying the network is no longer available or the the EHDD is full. niether of these masseges are correct because the network shows in my computer and it is availble and the EHDD is not full, it is 1TB. could you plese explain to me what happen and how can fix that.

Where is your external hdd attached?

To another computer? To a router?

Is it a NAS unit?

To what does your your computer connect by WiFi?
