i have a problem with using download accelerator in cometbird , my fav download accelerator is orbit but i cant use it in cometbird i dont know why?!!
it works with firefox , when i dowload smth firefox ask me if i want to use orbit downloader or regular download (firefox download) , IE download with orbit directly , is orbit not compatible with cometbird or what? and if so , please give me a download accelerator (even non-free) works with cometbird ,

Well, I went to AMO and couldn’t find any download manager named Orbit. There’s only an add-on called Orbit Downloader Fix, which replaces the original Orbit add-on’s error page. But first you’ve got to have the original Orbit installed. Besides, this add-on is experimental. I don’t recommend you to install experimental add-ons (unless you REALLY need that specific add-on); they could make Firefox/CometBird to be unstable.
I can’t see an add-on named Orbit, being compatible with Mozilla Firefox 3.5 for Windows.
If you know the add-on’s page at AMO, could you post its URL here, please?

well , i find the same adds u find (experimental), i search in orbit option and find that it worked directly with those browser ( IE , FIREFOX , CHROME, OPERA , NETSCAPE , MAXTHON) , i dont know what to do…thanx anyway
I had no trouble at all finding Orbit. It’s even on download.com, but I’m afraid I don’t know what AMO is.
Orbit says it is compatible with FireFox, and so ought to work in exactly the same way with CometBird. What exactly happens when you try?
i uninstall orbit and download it again , but its still the same thing it work perfectly with firefox and doesnt work with cometbird , BTW orbit downloader is in my firefox plugins , why it doesnt appear in cometbird plugins ?!

Well, as TUS pointed out, BitComet has an accelerator that works very well with Cometbird.
You say that orbit doesn’t work, but you still haven’t told us what you do and what happens when you try. I susect the reason orbit doesn’t appear in your cometbird plugins is because it hasn’t been installed there. It’s not enough to install into Firefox. If orbit has no provision for being installed into CometBird, you might want to seek assistance from Orbit support about installing it manually.

in my personal experience all the so called download accelerators are all one big humbug, the only way to increase your speed is by you signing for a higher speed, for instance u check the internet speed using http://www.ip-details.com/internet-speed-test/ before and after installing the software , you wont feel any difference
