downloaded files will not open

:frowning: hey guys i am new to bitcomet. I recently downloaded the 0.76 version…downloading is not hard however opening the file is. For example after it says 100% complete for a music album it will not open. I do not know if it is my system that might not reckognise the file type (i do a have a fairly uptodate computer) or perhaps one of my settings is wrong. Like I right click the file and push play, then choose a song, then a bit comet media player pops up and it says buffering but never gets around to playing. I also tried to open up one of the files through media player but it did not reckognise it.

Also my mate downloaded bitcomet 0.76 at the same time as me and doesnt seem to have any problems.

Can I please get some ideas. Regards Joe. Cheers

Just above where you posted, it shows “Please read THIS before you post”.

I’m afraid that until you can follow what it says, there isn’t a whole lot that can be done (it would just be guesswork).

That would probably depend on what file type it is, wouldn’t it?

But, you didn’t bother to mention what that file type happens to be. So how can we advise you when we don’t know what we’re dealing with?
