I’ve been happily using Bitcomet 0.70 for a while now with no problems, and i have been hearing how many people have been having trouble with 0.71.
Now all of a sudden 0.72 (and 0.73?) are up for download and i have no idea how well those work.
So, my question is this; do i keep using 0.70 or is it safe to download 0.71/0.72/0.73?

I prefer to use “stable” versions… unless the new versions have “new and important changes” that i like to use or just probe.
Well and for those people using extremely old versions… UPDATE TO LAST STABLE!!

Like hunt3r says, I would stay with v .70,… “if it aint’s broke, don’t fix it” (in this case, don’t change until all of the possible ‘bugs’ are ironed out).

I have notified admin of the problem downloading and he has put up a torrent.
I have also put 70 on megaupload personally, the link is in this forum.
Suspect
And since this is in the wrong section I’m moving it.

I have speed problems with v. 0.7. Regretting upgrading to it. Anyone knows where I can downgrade it to ver. 0.67 from? Thanks!

I have now downgraded my BitComet 0.7 to ver 0.67 and the speed is back to 100k/s+!!! This convinced me that there is a speed issue with later versions.

It’s typically a firewall issue - you know it’s just a different version, but your firewall thinks it’s a whole new application, and so blocks it by default. When you change versions you should delete your old firewall rule and make a new one.
