I’ve opened my BitComet today and all of my downloads and settings have disappeard. It looked the same as when a new user downloads the program.
My torrents are still in the download folder, I tried to add them to the program by “import unfinished download…” but it says “not found”!!
Can the settings and downloads be resroted or I’ll have to start from scratch?!

So what may be the reason for this to happen?
I didn’t do any upgrade to the OS or BC recently. Actually it happened before, I’m using BC for probably 5 years allready
but I think I’ll switch to uTorrent now…
You don’t need to make an upgrade in order for this to occur. It suffices that you shutdown Windows while BC is still exiting and this issue may occur.
It’s actually a matter of not being able to write on the disk the tasklist file.
As you can read in the FAQ link, it’s quite easy to fix if you use a version newer than v.1.18.
