dvd to data disc or dvd

I intend putting some films onto dvd disc but I am not sure about which method to use. If i put them onto disc as data i can get a lot more on than if i put them on as dvd, My question is which of the two ways is best for keeping the quality of the film. Thank You LAZ14AD

each time video is transcoded it loses quality so it’s best to keep it in the format as you got it, unless you must convert it for your hardware to support it.
