This only happened after i uninstalled bitcomet and i can’t seem to fix it, any idea? I dont wanna have to format my laptop to fix this.
Did you try manually deleting the file?
close all browsers before uninstalled bitcomet.

Did all that, it has nothing to do with my browser. Tried installing it in safe mode. I notice that Dna isnt installed anymore could it be that? and if so where do i get it?
what OS? what version BC? are you use Firefox?
Vista 64bit, Firefox, and anything higher the version 1.00 i have problems with. Never had this problem like i said till i uninstalled bitcomet and try to reinstall it.

You could simply revert to a pre-1.0 version in the meantime.

100 KBytes/s (or is it really Kbits?) is still better than ‘torrentless’, isn’t it (besides, it’s temporary)? 
Newer versions won’t be any faster than older versions. You must either have a configuration issue or that’s all your connection can support.

Well, 100KBps (kilobytes) is 100 x 1.024 x 8 = 819Kbps (kilobits) so it is pretty close to 1Mbps (1000Kbps). 1B (byte)=8b (bits) and 1KB (kilobyte)=1024B (bytes). You need to get your units right.
