I used Bitcomet (v.75) to start downloading a couple of files.
My friend convinced me to give Azureus “another go” to compare which one is more comfortable to work with, so I closed Bitcomet and opened the new Azureus and started downloadings the files there. (I liked Bitcomet better, but Azureus was getting pretty far on).
It is imported to mention that these both had the same destination folder for downloads.
In any case, the files finished on Azureus. I went to Bitcomet and deleted the tasks for the two files that finished. But when I went to the folder, I discovered to my horror that the two completed files had gone, while the temporary “.bc!” files had remained (and unusable). No recycle bin or system restore could save them.
In short, WTF?
