FILES THROUGH HTTP: WITH RAR EXTENSION

Hi,

Do you know if it is possible that BitComent, once the file has been downloaded and has an extension ".rar", can descompress it automatically?

Thanks in advance

You need an archive program to unrar (or unzip) any archived file. It’s not ‘built in’ to BitComet

There are several options including the free 7zip one

**Thank you for your soon reply. I have the program to unrar these files. But I thought that BitComet had a function to descompress them automatically after the files had been downloaded (as another programms do)**

**I repeat, thank you for your help**

I’m afraid not - it has to be done manually.

However, if you right click on the downloaded file, if it's a standalone archive and not in a folder, you have the option to 'open file' which will call up your archive app. It will NOT work on a file that is in a downloadedfolder
