Forum misbehaving

There have been some problems with the forum software for the past three days.

The most obvious is on the front page, where, to me at least, using FireFox 801, the background graphics and forum lists have “slipped” so they’re no longer displayed together.

WHen messages are posted, they do not reflect that immediately. This is leading to double and triple posting as people can’t see their messages per usual.

I had an instance of deleted duplicate messages coming back from deletion, but out of order.

These are what I’ve seen so far..

Yep, I kept encountering these too, in the last three days.

Even as I write it’s doing the same thing.

Yep, and the Main advertisement on the front page is giving out trojan viruses like it is Christmas lol

There is no announcement of maintenance so I smell hacker…

The forum index was even replaced with another page at first.

Apparently no one from the admin team has visited the site in the last 3 days.

TUUS, perhaps you should try to inform them by other means.

RynSmile moved the forum server on Tuesday, and we got Wednesday off due to office black out.

Now the forum has been back to normal(at least look like what it looked to be before)

The front page looks fine, and the trojan problem has been fixed.

Also the forum system got an upgrade.

If you found any bug, please send a pm or make a post here

Whew!!.. I thought that li’l ol’ me was the only one that was fending off trojans (in both computers, no less)… I, too, feared that the site had been hacked.

Glad to see that it’s all fixed, now.

I saw the warning too, but I think it was a false positive. When I investigated it, it seemed to be only that some images in one of the advertisements was hosted on a domain that was on the “bad” list. Sometimes these companies can’t help it, they lease space and if one client uploads something bad, all the browsers flag the entire domain as bad. I used to use my personal fileden.com account to host my avatar and signature, but then one day someone decided to violate filedens T.O.S. by uploading malware, then anyone viewing my posts or profile got a warning, so I had to stop using it. It’s really annoying that browsers don’t take into consideration that if they blacklist an entire domain because of one case of abuse, then there would never be any websites offering free hosting of files, which would be totally unacceptable. Just like you don’t label every person in a certain country as a thief simply because one is, so why black list an entire domain simply because one of it’s users abused it.

Anyway, hopefully this is behind us, and feel free to message me on MSN messenger if you encounter a situation like this that needs urgent attention.
