i am new to bitcomet, but so far i have been downloading and uploading no problem. i am building some webpages and just installed alftp server and client. i want to integrate these programs…but dont know how. will the ftp server help me download torrents more easily.what adress and or ports do i use to connect them… i am so in the thick of this i dont even know what i want to ask, any advice? tips suggestion pls…

Bittorrent and ftp are two entirely different, and entirely incompatible approaches to the issue of copying files over a network. They have nothing in common and can’t benefit each other. Ftp uses a classic one-to-one transfer scheme, one sender, one receiver, until the file is transferred in toto. Bittorrent is a many to many scheme, which doesn’t work worth beans in a one-to-one situation, and the file is transferred in many small pieces to/from many different clients.
