Vip is optional and is not required to download. If you want to use it, you have to purchase a vip package.
There is a trial that you can use.
There is a free trial, but we had problems with too many users trying to use it all at once, so we had to restrict free users to a high score level. We do want to make the free trial available to everyone, but not until we have enough servers that the users will have a positive experience.
In the meantime, please understand that even without vip bitcomet can often download faster then any other client because of BitComet’s unique abilities to connect to sources outside the traditional bittorrent swarm.
