Just installed Sunbelts Kerio Personal firewall, but after many readings in their complicated Help sections, still can’t figure out how to allow BitComet through. Please help!
I worked for years with Sygate Personal Firewall without any problems but I wanted to try another as Sygate is discontinued. I tried Kerio and yes, I experienced difficulties too. So, I just went back to my good old Sygate.
I can still be downloaded at http://www.simtel.net

You have to make a couple of rules for BitComet. You have to make sure it has incoming & outgoing permissions for both TCP & UDP traffic on your choice of listening port.
Thanks Dark Shroud! Although you pointed in the right direction, I needed detailed instructions for “making a couple of rules”. Fortunately, tech support for Sunbelt Kerio responded to my pleas for help, and provided very good detailed instructions for allowing BitComet access in and out. I would like to post those instructions here if you or someone could provide me with instructions for doing same ![]()
Sure, you are welcome to post the steps to setup your firewall.
One of our tech support staff made a guide for posting screenshots, so you can use that to prepare your guide with screenshots of each step.
When you have it completed, make a new topic in the “guides and how too” section.
If you need any help, let us know.
