Recently i moved in another city to college and im staying in the college dorm,where i have internet acces via proxy…and i cant download anything… >:"( i`ve set the proxy ip and its port but still nothin.
I guess it cant connect to any tracker because it says “Connecting Tracker to say Start, waiting for response”
Or maybe i need to talk to the admin here to open a certain port?
Communication with the tracker doesn’t require an open port. See if you can raise the tracker on your normal web browser. You should get something. Also try to ping it. Your school may be blocking any communication beyond a narrowly-prescribed range.
If you can get to the tracker with your browser, then you probably have a software firewall blocking BC’s outbound communications.
