I am downloading a torrent. initially I clicked to download selected files in the torrent. Later I decided to add all files. Now before the torrent name in the client, there is a red cross mark. Can anyone please let me know what that means? Thanks.

It indicates that BitComet is having a problem writing to the disk. That can have a lot of causes, some fairly trivial. Try doing a manual hash-check on the torrent, then starting it up again to see if it goes away.
