How do I Make a Disc IMG for a dvd?

Okay I download this Movie which is call doom. Now it was broken down into many file using winrar. Okay the files work great but here’s my problem. When I add all these file to nero to burn it to a dvd disc it tells me that I have gone over the space of a normal dvd which is 4.3 or something to that class and if I would like to compress it to fit. Well I do that and then I get the other message which tells me that it can’t do it. So now my only option would be to make a disc img. This way I get to keep the menu and all the other functions. Now I have daemon and alcho120% I also have nero and winrar program my question is simple what do I need to make this img or what do I have to do to get this file to fit into a normal dvd disc? Any help would be most helpful and any idea would be most thankful.

Are you using winrar to extract the files first,or are you trying to burn the compressed files.

I uise winrar to extract the files first and then try to burn it. Is that the right way or I’m doing something wrong already?

You should only have to extract one of the archives and it will automagically extract all of them into one file.

This file will either be a image file or a movie file.

If the extracted file is an image file then just use burn image in Nero (if the image file is around 700mb then use a cd-r)

If it is a movie file (.avi) then you need to use Nero Vision to convert and burn it to DVD format

that’s the problem the file doesn’t contain an img file. It have a bunch of rar file ranging at 14.6mb but no img file anywhere. I have check and double check to see if it was hidden or maybe misplace within the file. Again nothing was found. I also have my setting to view hidden folders and again nothing was there. when I extract one file it’s only 14.6mb and there’s no other files attach to it. So now I’m stuck in wondering if I download a dud or if there’s anyway to save this file? I would like to fix this problem so i can seed it back the right way. Any comments would be most helpful… Thanks seeder…

You should be able to just extract the first rar file and the rest will extract automatically.

Are you saying that after extracting the first rar file you have a 14kb file,if so what type of file is it.

Thanks to everyone who try to help me out with this file. I have re-done it and was able to make an IMG disk with Nero. Burn to disk and working great. The file name is Doom and is now being uploaded for all to enjoy with the img file lol. Thanks to all and always seed

I just took all the files and edit it as a movie then compress it and made it to a disk img. That seem to do the trick. Took me a while to think of something but this work for me lol. This file was kicking my butt but I won at the end. Thanks again for all you help…
