I’d like to request that the developers always include the version number in installer filenames.
For example, all of the cometbird downloads are entitled, “CometBird.%langcode%.installer.exe”
I’m asking that they be entitled, “CometBird.%version%,%langcode%.installer.exe”
so that instead of CometBird.en-US.installer.exe, you’d have CometBird.3.20.en-US.installer.exe"
If that name is thought to be too long, you could omit the word, “installer”, since under the circumstances this is pretty obvious.
THose of us who download and keep multiple versions, as well as those who are trying to downgrade/upgrade to troubleshoot problems, need to rename the setup files in order to keep track of what’s what. It would be helpful if they already had the proper labels.
