I am using BC v0.56 in my WInXP SP2 with 20GB HDD.
I put my Windows in Drive C and Data in Drive D, each with 10GB space assigned.
I tried to download a 46-episode anime with a 9GB total file size.
As my Drive D only got 4GB space left, so I tried to download only a partial of these files.
I chose to download only 12 episodes which occupied 2.6GB space.
But after I have downloaded these 12 episodes, BC didn’t check CRC / Hash or if there are errors in my downloaded files.
What would happen if BC did not do the check for me?
Please advise if I should do a CRC / Hash check for my downloaded files before I burned them to DVDR?
Rehashing the files after download is an Option.
This is a redundant check, since they are hashed piece by piece, so is not necessary (in theory).
However, I strongly suggest you do a final hash check after downloads are complete.
Please also note that its gonna take much longer to get all these files if you are separating the torrent into different stages.
Perhaps you can move your data from “D” drive onto “C” and save entire torrent on “D”

I did want to point out that the option is to recheck the hash after the download is “complete”. Well, depends on how you define that, but BC is defining it as, “I got all pieces of all files in the torrent”, rather than, “I got everything that was asked for”. So since it’s not “complete” by BC’s definition, it didn’t do the final hash check.
