Loaris Trojan remover found Malware on Bitcomet installation exe file

Hi

I’ve download Bitcomet v 1.42 setup file and installed. Operation seems OK

But when I scan my computer with Loaris Trojan remover it reports an Adware on

Bitcomet setup.exe.

I do not known any harm or effect to my programs or my computer.

Please commend.

All of the major anti virus scanners detect it as clean, what your AV detected is “InstallCore”, an app that allows BitComet to bundle things like the Yahoo toolbar which can easily be declined during install. Little things like that are what keeps the lights on here and this is not a virus or any other type of threat. BitComet is digitally signed and all the contents are provided for it to be certified as safe, but many small anti virus scanners don’t do their homework and label any app that uses this technology as a false positive.

By the way, I recommend reverting to 1.41 until an unrelated bug is fixed in 1.42

Thank you very much for clarification. Already applied to false positive.

Regards

Pure garbage. You’re a fool if you think someone with an iota of common sense is gonna trust your scamming trash. Bundling FUSION.DLL which is a known malware library and claiming it’s innocent and clean is like telling the cow its safe to go to the slaughter house. ESET is a weak anti-virus? Really? Cause they have been around since 1992, and offer enterprise level solutions!! There’s a reason they are flagging your trash release as potential malware. But do go on and dispense your excuses to convince the sheeple that it’s all safe and clean. Cause bundling yahoo toolbars and all kinds of 3rd party UNKNOWN applications is a good thing and not potentially dangerous at all. The thing is *YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW the kind of s you are subjecting your users to, and that’s the pure idiocy of all this.
