I would not expect a .torrent made with utorrent to be compatible as far as the web seeding operation. Regular torrenting, yes, but not web seeding. There is no agreed standard way to do this. Try remaking the torrent with BitComet and see if that works better.
We had a very long discussion about this, and yes, BitComet supports multiple webseed links in a torrent, as long as the files being seeded are hosted at the same location, just leave the file names off the url, if it ends in “/”, bitcomet will download any of the files it finds in that location.
If you use the search, you can find the prior discussions where we tested this, I’m not inclined to go through all that testing again, but if you read it and don’t understand any of it, let us know, we’ll try to explain.
@kluelos, I made a webseeded torrent and it worked with bitcomet and utorrent. I used some mp3 files uploaded to fileden, added the link as a webseed and it downloaded with utorrent and bitcomet equally well.
Good to know there is a proposed standard out there, but there’s no assurance that anyone has or will continue to abide by it. Let us hope so, there’s been enough anarchy.
