v5.0 is not giving audio for 3gp files…what to do??
Always check the File Info under the File menu. It will tell you what MPCStar thinks the streams are encoded with and what it’s using to handle them – or not. If it can’t find anything to handle the stream, you must make sure the proper filter for that kind of stream is installed and configured.
Generally, it is easier to install a combination of filters that have been tested and work well together, like the Combined Community Codec Pack. They will play pretty much anything that you come across on the internet, except proprietary stuff you should probably avoid anyway.
