My modem always hang when using BitComet.

Recently i encounter a problem of my bitcomet 0.73…

My download speed at starting was quite ok…but it will starting to decrease after a moment, then after around one hour, the speed will become 1~3 kbps, and finally the modem will hang, which cause me can’t even open the webpage, so i just re-start my modem, but the same thing happen again, which means i need to re-start the modem again, but it’s not possible for my to do this all the time, it’s my modem problem?

Without running BitComet this problem will not occur, so is that any thing i can play aroud with BitComet?

That version of BitComet is known to be unstable, so the first thing to do is downgrade to the last stable version, .070, and see if that makes the problem go away. Stick with the last stable version as shown on the main site unless you’re feeling experimental and ready for surprises.

You do need to make sure your upload speed is capped, so see the settings guide for instructions on how to do that.
