My own torrent is downloading :frowning: after being good for months…

any suggestions searched forums and found no answers

This happens when BitComet cannot find the files for that torrent. So it starts writing new ones.

When did you notice this? Did you remove/add any storage device from/to your pc?

didn’t move anything this has been in use for a year or so. noticed it after last upgrade and I also checked the files its trying to download they are there in full and working audio files…

Try right-clicking on the running task and select “open directory” from the menu.

Notice which pathname it opens into.

Your files need to be in that folder, or you need to change the torrent’s “download” location to point to your existing files.

Either way, do a manual hash-check before you start the task, to assure that BitComet finds your files and agrees that you’ve got 100% of them.

ok I deleted task and created another torrent and seems to be working dunno what happened :slight_smile:
