Need Help of a pro

Hello,

Upon changing up my internet connection I have come across a few difficulties with downloading only torrent.

I reside in Toronto and used to have a rogers 10mb/s cable connection set up to upgrade to 25mb/s but upon doing this my download speeds haven’t exceeded 100kb/s, where as if i dl something from the internet eg itunes i’m looking at extreme speeds of 2+mb/s.

I understand the 1st question that jumps to mind is do i have a week amount of peers? no, a lot of my downloads have been 50+ and should have downloaded quickly.

I just don’t understand why upgrading my net has slowed down my torrents?

If anyone has any information on how to fix this it’d be greatly appreciated.

Also, when you run speed tests you’ll probably find that your upload speed isn’t anything close to your advertised download speed. That is the heart of your problem.

Make sure you post your “global max connections settings” too, as well as your speedtest results.
