Hi Ive been using bitcomet for a while now and all of a sudden it stopped downloading
i have .70 and it was working fine
only windows firewall on but that didnt stop me before
can someone please help me!
Since you say Windows Firewall I’m assumeing you’re using XP SP-2. Now what anti-virus are you using? Do you have a firewall router?
It usually means that something changed, and now your firewall(s) is blocking outbound traffic from BitComet. Many software firewalls will treat an upgrade as a whole new application, for which they have no rule, rather than an upgrade to which they should apply an existing rule. Your firewall’s log should tell you if that is the case. If you have disabled logging then you should re-enable it for situations like this. You will very likely need to make a new rule to permit Bitcomet through the firewall(s)
