not sure where this should go.... But please help!

Hi, i downloaded BitComet today and started to download torrentz immediately. I did it without reading the tutorial and then ckecked the tutorial with the title ‘Using BitComet to Download Files (HTTP/FTP protocols)’ and realised that id followed the simple steps as required. Yet whatever i started to download didnt actually start to download. Confusing, i know. It goes into bitcomet and then… nothing. I waited 48hours and then deleted the files, ( lady gaga’s the fame monster) and found another torrents to download. Again, it goes into torrents and then nothing. All i get is an upside down green arrow. My brother introduced me to bitcomet and torrents and is quite capable with the software and has no problems with it. He’s checked my lappie and bt and can find nothing wrong.

Pls help!

Do you want to download the .torrent files with BitComet? (the tiny files you use to start BitTorrent tasks) If so go to the proprieties page of the http task and untick everything under the “Accelerate” tab.

I opened the properties page for eac of the tasks in bitcomet and there was no accelerate tab

I dont get that box. i only get bit where it says description and then i get buttons saying download now, later or cancel.

EDIT: i found what you were talking about and unchecked everything. Now i just get the same prob. No download7 :frowning:

Theres no a little red cross and it says failed to connect to any available source, retry limit reached. :frowning:

This is starting to get confusing…

Post screesnshots of that error, the peers tab and the trackers tab if it’s a BT task, the Logs tab if it’s a HTTP task.
