If you select the “open directory” option from the left-click task menu, you get the folder view without the navigation pane. (Choose VIEW->Explorer Bar and check Folders to see the navigaton pane.) When Explorer is invoked with the “/e” switch, it opens in this view. I’d like to request that the option do use this view automatically be included in future versions of BitComet. It makes file operations a lot easier.
This only applies to Windows XP, and perhaps prior versions. Vista and Seven both open with the navigation pane. I do agree it would be an improvement, but the need for it becomes less relevant as fewer xp users exist as new computers replace older ones and operating systems are updated.
However, if it’s not going to be a lot of work to implement, then I second the request.

This is really more of a request for an option to include switches in the open parameters. I imagine there will be others in future versions of Windows.
