To avoid double posting (which is annoying), it would be a good idea to simply merge the new post(s) to the previous one.

years ago we set a time limit for editing posts, this is because many times we’d ask a member for more info and instead of replying they’d edit the info into the first post and we’d have no way of knowing the info was added. With the time limit we end up getting double posts but it’s preferable to a disorganized post and a member wondering why we didn’t reread a post that shows no new activity.
